I'd been wanting to capture this image for a long time and I spent 3 years photographing whale sharks on the Ningaloo Reef before I got this shot. It is rare for these deep sea fish to swim in shallow water and this shallow sandy section is often murky, finally the conditions and the fish lined up and I got the shot.
